CASE STUDY:
Pinterest Presents
Designing and delivering the interactive audience journey for a major global virtual business event.
Project Overview
Pinterest Presents was a global virtual business event created to share Pinterest’s latest ideas, insights and opportunities with business audiences across multiple international markets.
Working for NVE Experience Agency as Interactive Producer, I was responsible for the attendee-facing and interactive elements of the project. This included configuring regional event environments, developing the registration journey, connecting different platforms and supporting the live delivery of the broadcasts.
The programme required a consistent global experience while accommodating different markets, languages and branding. My role sat between production, technology and user experience: ensuring that the systems behind the event worked together and that the process remained as clear as possible for attendees, clients and the wider production team.

The Brief / Challenge
Pinterest Presents was not a single webinar or broadcast. It was a coordinated global programme involving multiple regional event environments, different languages, localised branding and audiences joining across several countries and time zones.
The attendee journey also crossed several systems. Registration was managed through Splash, attendee information passed into Hopin using Zapier, and the event itself incorporated streamed content.
The challenge was to make those connected systems feel like one coherent experience. Attendees needed to move smoothly from registration to event access, while the production team needed reliable information, rehearsal environments and clear processes for managing each regional event.
The work also required close collaboration with NVE’s production, creative, accounts and strategy teams, alongside Pinterest’s client team, the Executive Producer and Technical Director.
My Role
As Interactive Producer, I managed the digital journey around the broadcast: from registration and platform configuration through to rehearsals and live event support.
I worked closely with the Executive Producer and Technical Director to ensure the interactive elements supported the wider production. I also collaborated directly with client, production, creative, strategy and account teams to develop the event experience and solve problems as the project evolved.
The role required both technical understanding and audience awareness. It was not enough for each platform to function independently; they needed to operate as one connected experience.

How I Approached It
Selected Project Highlights
Global Business Summit
The initial project involved building and supporting six event environments with different regional branding and languages.
My responsibilities included Hopin setup, Splash registration, Zapier integration, registration management, rehearsal environments, RTMP guidance and support during the live event periods.
Pinterest Presents Brazil
Following the global programme, I returned as Interactive Producer for a dedicated Brazil Business Summit.
The second engagement extended the same approach to registration, platform configuration, guest experience and live support for the Brazilian market.
Outcomes
Pinterest Presents connected more than 30,000 attendees across the USA, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Australia and Brazil.
A coordinated registration and event journey was created across several platforms, supporting multiple branded and localised versions of the same global experience. The systems needed to manage a large international audience while remaining straightforward for attendees to navigate.
The project also established a repeatable technical and production model. The workflows developed for the initial global programme could be adapted and extended for the later Brazil event rather than rebuilt entirely from the beginning.
My contribution helped connect the attendee experience with the wider broadcast production, ensuring that registration, access, platform design and live delivery worked as parts of the same event rather than separate technical processes.

Project Reflection
“For an event of this scale, the technology succeeds when the audience barely notices it. The complexity belongs behind the scenes; the attendee should experience one clear and connected journey.”
Planning a large-scale virtual or hybrid event?
I help organisations connect platforms, production teams and audience journeys. Turning complicated technical requirements into clear, professionally managed experiences.
