Luke to co-direct E Nesbit’s The Railway Children for the Rondo Theatre Company

After about seven years in the planning Luke is pleased to finally bringing E Nesbit’s the Railway Children to stage.

All aboard for a captivating journey for the whole family!

After the disappearance of their father, Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis move from their comfortable London home to a cottage in the Yorkshire countryside. There they make new friends and have many adventures, alongside their constant companion, the railway.

Set in the golden age of steam, E. Nesbit’s much-loved classic novel has delighted generations of families since it was first published in 1906. Mike Kenny’s faithful adaptation played to critical acclaim at London’s Waterloo Station and the National Railway Museum in York.

Expect stories of friendship and family, laughter and tears, and, of course, steam trains!

An amateur production in arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
